An area known for offering desirable school districts, the northeast heights advances consistent increases in market rents. Many of Albuquerque’s premier neighborhoods including Tanoan, High Desert, Primrose Pointe, North Albuquerque Acres, Ocotillo, Princess Gene, and Glenwood Hills are located in the Northeast Heights.
As Albuquerque continues to expand, the west side of the city offers the greatest opportunities for development. Some of the best views of the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande Bosque can be seen from the west side of Albuquerque. The vibrant city of Rio Rancho is adjacent to the northwest heights and the village of Corrales.
Uptown is considered one of the more desired areas for investment and development within the metro. Uptown sits in the center of the city with great highway access and is within walking distance of the best shopping and retail in the city. The limited supply of housing in Uptown makes it particularly attractive, as more people move to the Albuquerque metro in search of an urban city-like environment.

Albuquerque's rich, fertile North Valley area touches both sides of the Rio Grande. Los Ranchos de Albuquerque and Corrales are small villages nestled just north of Albuquerque, Winding streets lead past old farmhouses, and the deep lots run perpendicular to the river, bordered by irrigation ditches that still bring vital water to local farms, including orchards and vineyards. Some of the most valuable Albuquerque Real Estate can be found in the north valley.
The South Valley area has traditionally been a farming community and it is still crisscrossed by irrigation ditches linked to the Rio Grande. It is also New Mexico’s biggest city! Sprawling rural areas with tall trees, small farms, and green pastures are perfect for horse properties. Just south of the Downtown area located is, the historic neighborhood of Barelas.
